Mali's Armed Forces (FAMa) General Staff announced on August 10, 2026 a series of operations conducted August 8–9 under the 'Dougoukoloko' plan across five sites: northeast of Bambara-Maoudé (Tombouctou Region) on August 8; and on August 9 near Abéibara (Kidal Region), Razelma (Tombouctou Region), northwest of Mahou (Koutiala Region), and roughly 17km from San (Ségou Region) — the site of JNIM's August 9 barracks assault. The communiqué claimed 'terrorist elements were neutralized' and combat equipment including armored vehicles, drones, and motorcycles destroyed, with 'no movement of persons' observed at Bambara-Maoudé after the strike. Near San, the statement specifically referenced repulsing the attack on the 23rd Infantry Regiment camp, claiming over 50 militants neutralized there. FAMa's command urged continued public support and confidence in the armed forces. The claims are self-reported by Mali's military with no independent Tier 1-2 verification.
