Drones hit Kuibyshev refinery in Samara and Bashneft-UNPZ refinery in Ufa; one killed

Ukrainian drones struck two more Rosneft-owned refineries overnight Sept 21-22: the Kuibyshev refinery near Samara (a drone alert sounded at 3:15am, with air defense active until 4:07am before fires broke out; Militarnyi's imagery analysis suggests the AVT-5 crude unit, roughly 10,000 tonnes/day of capacity, was hit) and the Bashneft-UNPZ refinery in Ufa, Bashkortostan, about 1,300km from the Ukrainian border. Samara region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed the 'treacherous' strike on Telegram, reporting one person killed and four wounded near the Kuibyshev site; Russia's Defense Ministry said 297 drones were intercepted nationwide overnight. Kuibyshev was already left fully offline once before, after a June 10 strike hit both its AVT-4 and AVT-5 units. No official confirmation yet of the extent of damage at the Ufa facility.
