Official Rosstat data for August 18-24 showed gasoline prices rising in most Russian regions, with the national average up 0.9% week-on-week to 77.05 RUB/liter (from 76.38 on Aug 17). AI-92 rose from 72.49 to 73.08 RUB/L and AI-95 from 78.58 to 79.32 RUB/L; AI-98+ edged up to 102.20 RUB/L. Dagestan saw the steepest regional increase at +7.8%, followed by Ryazan Oblast at +6.2%; Moscow rose a modest 0.6%. Prices fell in occupied Crimea (-8.5%) and Khakassia (-2.8%). Diesel prices ticked down slightly nationwide. Consulting firm B1 forecast gasoline could keep rising 1-2% a month through year-end under a 'controlled stabilization' scenario, or faster if Russia leans further on imports.
