| Quantum Theory

IonQ reported record second-quarter 2026 revenue of $80.1 million, up 287% year-over-year and its fifth consecutive record quarter, beating its internal plan by roughly 20%. The company raised full-year guidance to $280–290 million, citing 132% organic growth driven by fifth-generation quantum system deployments to KISTI (South Korea) and QuantumBasel (Switzerland). The quarter also included the close of IonQ's $1.8 billion acquisition of semiconductor manufacturer SkyWater Technology, which management framed as extending IonQ from a quantum computing specialist into a full-stack platform spanning computing, networking, sensing, security, and domestic chip manufacturing.
