QuEra, Harvard & MIT Achieve 2:1 Physical-to-Logical Qubit Ratio
A collaboration between QuEra Computing, Harvard University, and MIT demonstrates a 2:1 physical-to-logical qubit ratio using quantum Low-Density Parity-Check (qLDPC) codes on reconfigurable neutral-atom hardware. Simulations show error rates of approximately 1.3×10⁻¹³ per logical operation, entering the 'Teraquop' regime. This could dramatically reduce the number of physical qubits needed for fault-tolerant quantum computing.
