Carmen Aristegui Fired from MVS Radio Amid Government Pressure

MVS Radio fired investigative journalist Carmen Aristegui, reportedly under pressure from the Peña Nieto government following the Casa Blanca investigation. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and Reporters Without Borders condemned the firing. Aristegui subsequently launched Aristegui Noticias as an independent digital outlet that became one of Mexico's most prominent investigative platforms.
