Navi Pillay Awarded 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for International Justice Work
South African former UN Human Rights Commissioner Navi Pillay was awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for her lifelong work in international justice and human rights. During her tenure as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2008–2014), Pillay was a prominent advocate for accountability in conflict zones and spoke out against human rights abuses globally.
