AJK Election Phase 3: Voting Held in Bagh, Haveli as Poonch Polls Postponed

| Pakistan

The AJK Election Commission held the revised third phase of the Legislative Assembly election in four constituencies of Bagh and Haveli districts, where roughly 460,000 registered voters were eligible; vote counting began after polls closed at 5pm. The Commission postponed voting in the remaining seven constituencies covering Rawalakot, Poonch, and Sudhnoti over security concerns flagged by the AJK interior secretariat, with those seats expected to go to the polls by around August 20. With the first two phases complete, PML-N led the 45-seat assembly with 24 seats to PPP's 10, putting PML-N on track for a simple majority once all constituencies are decided.
