TTP Militants Kill 6 FC Soldiers, Abduct 8 in Peshawar Checkpoint Raid
Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants stormed a Frontier Constabulary checkpoint in Hassan Khel, Peshawar, using firearms, hand grenades, and mortar shells. Six FC personnel were martyred and four wounded; the attackers abducted eight FC personnel and took them to an undisclosed location. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the fallen troops as 'our real heroes' in the war against terrorism. In a separate operation the same day, security forces killed 14 militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan's Washuk district, losing one soldier. The twin incidents underscored the TTP's growing operational reach in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa even as security forces intensified counter-militancy operations nationwide.
