On April 24, 2026 — the 197th day of the October 10, 2025 ceasefire — Israeli forces carried out multiple strikes across the Gaza Strip, killing 9 Palestinians and injuring 18 others. In al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, an Israeli drone strike hit a civilian car, killing three people including two Palestinian Civil Defense workers. Hamas called the targeting of emergency responders a 'criminal escalation' that violates the ceasefire. In Beit Lahia (northern Gaza), Israeli forces fired on displacement centers near Khalifa School; a young girl named Masa al-Awda was shot in the head and transferred in critical condition to al-Shifa Hospital.
