US Senators Request Briefing on Joint Task Force October 7 Progress

US Senators Katie Britt (R-AL), Jerry Moran (R-KS), and colleagues sent a formal letter in early April 2026 to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel requesting a comprehensive briefing on the Joint Task Force October 7 (JTF), which was established to hold perpetrators of the October 7 attack legally accountable. The senators sought updates on prosecutorial actions against Hamas operatives, asset seizures, and cooperation with Israeli law enforcement. JTF October 7 has focused on US citizens killed or taken hostage and foreign nationals with US ties. As of April 2026, no Hamas operatives have been publicly indicted in US courts.
