Kim Inspects Factory Producing 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzers With 60km Range Targeting Seoul

Kim Jong-un visited a munitions factory producing new 155mm self-propelled gun-howitzers with a range exceeding 60 km, sufficient to strike Seoul and surrounding areas from positions near the DMZ. Kim ordered the new artillery systems deployed to southern-border units within 2026. The howitzers represent a significant upgrade in DPRK's conventional strike capacity against South Korea. The 60km range would allow DPRK forces to target central Seoul, Incheon, and US and ROK military installations in the capital region while remaining behind defensive terrain. The South Korean military condemned the deployment announcement.
