Nigeria's Crude Oil Output Hits 74-Month High, Beats OPEC Quota
Nigeria's crude oil and condensate output averaged 1,735,398 barrels per day in June 2026 — a 74-month high and the strongest performance since April 2020. Crude oil alone reached 1.56 million bpd, or 104% of Nigeria's 1.5 million bpd OPEC quota, marking the fourth consecutive month of rising output; on its best single day, combined output touched 1.89 million bpd. Analysts attributed the gains to improved security around Niger Delta pipelines and stable operations following years of oil theft and vandalism losses.
