President Tinubu commissioned a 7-kilometre access road — including a four-span bridge — bypassing the second runway of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, running from Bill Clinton Drive to the Tungan Madaki settlement in the Federal Capital Territory. The project fulfills a commitment made to communities that ceded ancestral land for the second runway's construction; Tinubu said the road, approved in February 2025 and completed in roughly 16 months, demonstrated that 'no community should be a victim of national development.' The commissioning is part of a broader FCT infrastructure push tied to the second-runway expansion.
