Multiple SAC Strikes Kill Civilians Across Myanmar — Karen State Gyrocopter Kill, Sagaing Bomb Attack, Tanintharyi Paramotor Strike on May 19

| Myanmar

Multiple Myanmar junta airstrikes and aerial attacks killed civilians across at least three regions on May 19, 2026, according to CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) daily reporting. In Hpa-an Township, Karen State, a junta fighter jet and/or gyrocopter attack on Mae Baw Khee village killed a 19-year-old woman and injured five others — including two children — in the latest SAC aerial strike against civilian areas in KNU-administered Karen territory. In Palaw Township, Tanintharyi Region — the same township struck on May 18 killing six civilians — a junta paramotor bomb strike killed one additional civilian. In Budalin Township, Sagaing Region, a junta bomb attack on a vehicle killed two displaced civilians and injured four others. SAC forces also launched aerial attacks and artillery barrages in Mindat (Chin State), Myaing (Magway Region), and Pauk (Magway Region) on May 19. The Sanae Township in Kyaukphyu District, Rakhine State, was struck by SAC aircraft, with junta naval vessels shelling the area. In Kyaukkyi Township, SAC artillery killed a 75-year-old man. The CDM's daily casualty log for May 19 documents at least 7 civilians confirmed killed and 9+ injured across multiple townships — on the same day the junta publicly announced the recapture of Maw Taung and Tonzang. Rights monitors note that junta forces consistently conduct multi-location airstrikes simultaneously with major ground advances to prevent civilian and resistance response to territorial changes. Moemaka CDM News documented that Air Scout Network issued a public alert on May 19 warning communities of intensified coordinated SAC airstrikes under a newly-appointed military commander.
