Jet-Powered Drone Explodes Near Hîrbovăț; Second Drone Detected Near Dubăsari, Airspace Partly Closed

Moldovan authorities reported that a jet-powered drone flying at about 400 km/h entered Moldovan airspace on September 30 and crashed and exploded near Hîrbovăț, Anenii Noi district, reportedly after striking a telecommunications mast. Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii said it had been tracked moving toward Soroca. A second drone was detected around 10:26 near Lunga, Dubăsari district, and airspace over the northern and central parts of the country was temporarily closed. No casualties were reported. Outlets differ on the timing of the first entry (early morning vs. about 10:26) and on the exact route; the incident occurred during large-scale Russian attacks on Ukraine.
