Dutch Court: MH17 Cabinet Papers May Remain Confidential
A Dutch court rules that the government does not have to disclose internal cabinet documents and ministerial meeting minutes from the days immediately following the MH17 crash. Dutch broadcasters NOS, RTL Nieuws, and Volkskrant had sued under the Government Information Act (Woo). The court finds authorities 'gave due consideration to the principles and criteria' in withholding the documents, and that 'very special circumstances' would be needed to compel disclosure.
