CJNG Attempts to Assassinate Mexico City Security Secretary

Four groups of seven CJNG gunmen ambush Mexico City public security secretary Omar García Harfuch on Paseo de la Reforma, firing more than 400 rounds including .50-caliber Barrett rounds and fragmentation grenades. Two bodyguards and one civilian bystander are killed; García Harfuch survives with three bullet wounds. Fifteen hitmen are arrested the same day.
