'El Señor de la T,' CJNG Regional Coordinator for Bajío Michoacán, Arrested

On September 17, 2026, Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch announced the arrest of Manuel Alejandro Rendón Aguilar, 51, alias 'El Señor de la T,' in a joint operation by the SSPC, SEDENA, SEMAR, the FGR and the Michoacán state prosecutor's office. Authorities identified him as an alleged CJNG regional coordinator operating across the Bajío michoacano municipalities of Angamacutiro, Penjamillo, Panindícuaro, José Sixto Verduzco and Puruándiro, with a close operational relationship to fellow regional CJNG commander Heraclio Guerrero Martínez, alias 'Tío Lako.' He faced active arrest warrants for homicide and forced disappearance, plus charges of extortion, kidnapping, drug retail distribution and organized crime, and was linked by prosecutors to the 2025 killing of Penjamillo síndico Roberto Ramírez Zárate and the disappearance of former Angamacutiro mayor Maribel Juárez Blanquet.
