Rancho Izaguirre: FGR Continues DNA Analysis as Collectives Describe 'Hundreds' of Victims
Search and identification work at Rancho Izaguirre CJNG training camp in Teuchitlán, Jalisco continued on April 13. FGR forensic teams processed calcined remains recovered from a septic tank discovered the previous day. Members of the Luz de Esperanza searching collective stated the scale of remains at the site suggests 'hundreds' of victims, not dozens — a claim officials declined to confirm pending analysis. The site has now yielded human remains spanning more than a decade, consistent with CJNG using the ranch as an extermination site from at least 2014 onwards. Oaxaca state prosecutors separately reported on April 13 that organized crime groups including CJNG-aligned cells are actively recruiting minors as young as 13 years old for homicide and extortion roles — highlighting the organization's systematic use of forced youth recruitment that has fueled its expansion despite sustained decapitation pressure.
