Houthi Missiles and Drones Wound 13 in Saudi Arabia's South; Alerts Stretch to Jeddah and Mecca

| Mecca Pact

A new wave of Houthi ballistic-missile and drone attacks hit Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif, wounding 13 civilians with "minor to moderate" injuries and damaging seven houses and two vehicles, coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Malki said. Saudi Arabia's Civil Defence issued alerts for a wider arc of cities — Jeddah, Jazan, Yanbu, Makkah and AlUla — and the kingdom briefly shut down its East-West oil pipeline as a precaution. Al-Malki branded the group a "Terrorist Houthi Militia" engaged in "deliberate attacks on civilian objects" and pledged the coalition would respond "responsibly and firmly." It follows the Sep 8 barrage that wounded 73 and the Sep 14 claimed strike on King Khalid Air Base, extending the run of near-daily Houthi attacks on Saudi territory into a second week.
