Houthis Claim Largest Strike Yet on Saudi Soil, Targeting King Khalid Air Base

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree says the group launched "dozens of ballistic missiles and drones" at King Khalid Air Base near Khamis Mushait, claiming to have hit aircraft hangars, radar installations, runways and ammunition depots and inflicted "significant losses." The Houthis frame it as retaliation for what they say were more than 300 Saudi-led air strikes across Yemen over the preceding five days, and vow "broader and more severe" attacks inside the kingdom if Saudi operations continue. Saudi Arabia's Civil Defence issued an alert for Khamis Mushait before declaring "the danger has passed"; Riyadh has not confirmed any damage or casualties. It is the largest claimed strike on Saudi territory since the pact's Sep 8 baptism by fire, and neither Pakistan nor Turkey has signaled any shift toward direct military involvement in response.
