Israeli Strikes, Shelling and Demolitions Hit Eight South Lebanon Towns

Israeli strikes and shelling targeted Houla, Markaba, Wadi Slouqi, Qabrikha, al-Mansouri, Majdalzoun, Ali al-Taher, and Touline overnight, while Israeli forces carried out demolitions in Zawtar al-Sharqiyeh, Majdalzoun, al-Mansouri, and al-Khiam. The operations continued despite a recent lull in fighting, part of what Naharnet described as "intermittent strikes and heavy demolition operations" across a strip roughly 10 kilometers inside Lebanese territory. Separately, UNIFIL transferred a position near al-Khardali to the Lebanese Army as the peacekeeping force continues drawing down ahead of its December 2026 mandate expiry.
