Police Arrest Four More Suspects, Including IDF Conscript, in Settler Violence Crackdown
On Thursday, September 3, 2026, Israeli police announced the arrest of four more suspects in connection with Jewish extremist violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. Two settlers were detained at Ben Gurion Airport as they attempted to depart for Uman, Ukraine, ahead of the Hasidic pilgrimage there for Rosh Hashanah; one is an IDF conscript arrested in cooperation with military police over suspected involvement in settler-violence incidents. A 29-year-old settler was separately arrested in northern Israel after repeatedly violating a court-ordered decree requiring him to report daily to a police station. The arrests follow a 19-year-old settler's earlier arrest over the August 29 Qusra home-takeover siege, though police said the wider group of settlers involved in that incident remained in the village with no further arrests made.
