Israeli Fire Kills Three in Gaza — Rimal Drone Strike and Beit Lahia 'Yellow Line' Shooting

| Israel-Palestine

On Thursday, September 3, 2026, Israeli fire killed at least three Palestinians in Gaza in two separate incidents. In the Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City, an Israeli combat drone fired at least two missiles at a group of civilians near the Near East Council of Churches building on Ath-Thawara Street, killing one person and wounding several others. Separately, in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire on a group of Palestinians, killing two; the IDF said in a statement it had 'eliminated two terrorists who crossed the Yellow Line' — the buffer zone separating IDF-occupied parts of Gaza from the rest of the enclave — but offered no evidence the men were armed. Gaza health officials said the strikes brought the toll since the October 2025 ceasefire to more than 1,330 Palestinians killed, against roughly four Israeli soldiers over the same period.
