CENTCOM Chief Adm. Brad Cooper Visits Israel, Meets Zamir on Multi-Front Situation

US Central Command chief Adm. Brad Cooper visited Israel, meeting IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and other senior officials to assess the multi-front security situation. Cooper arrived from Bahrain after meetings in Bahrain and the UAE on regional developments and defense cooperation, before departing for the United States. According to Israel's Kan public broadcaster, Cooper raised Gaza during the visit, saying Washington has been pressing Israel to advance the second phase of the Gaza peace plan following the Board of Peace's disarmament agreement with Hamas the previous week.
