IRGC Launches 'Punishment of the Aggressor' Missile-Drone Salvo at US-Linked Bases in Jordan

| Iran Conflict

Hours after the US strike on Larak Island, the IRGC launched a combined ballistic missile and drone operation it named 'Punishment of the Aggressor' against King Hussein Air Base (Mafraq) and the Muwaffaq Salti/Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan, both of which have hosted US forces. The IRGC claimed the strikes 'destroyed the technical and maintenance infrastructure and the enemy's fighter jets' deployment sites.' Jordan's Armed Forces said air defenses intercepted all eight missiles that entered its airspace before they could cause damage, and reported no injuries at either base. President Trump, asked about the wider salvo (which also reached Gulf states), told Fox News it was 'a very good thing' that Iran had struck multiple Arab states because Tehran 'lost all of the support that they had' as a result.
