Day 121: US Strikes 10 Iranian Targets at Sirik, Bandar-e Lengeh & Qeshm; IRGC Retaliates on Kuwait/Bahrain, 1 Qatari Killed
CENTCOM conducted coordinated Navy/Air Force precision strikes on 10 Iranian military targets at Sirik, Bandar-e Lengeh, and Qeshm Island, framed as retaliation for the June 27 Kiku tanker drone attack. IRGC retaliated with ballistic missiles and drones at the US Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait and the Fifth Fleet facility in Manama, Bahrain. Kuwaiti air defenses intercepted drones and 2 missiles with no casualties; in Bahrain, strikes damaged a residential building near the international airport and killed 1 Qatari citizen from shrapnel, injuring one Arab resident. Iran claimed '8 US military sites destroyed'; CENTCOM said there were no US casualties or major damage. Iran skipped its scheduled technical talks in the aftermath, and Israel struck Lebanon again, testing the days-old peace deal.
