IDF Strikes Kill Six Iranian Diplomats at Residence in Lebanon

Six Iranian diplomats were killed in an Israeli airstrike on their residence in Lebanon on approximately March 29-30. Iran's ambassador to Lebanon was subsequently declared persona non grata by Lebanese authorities. The killing of accredited diplomats represents a significant escalation in the targeting of Iranian state personnel and is a violation of the Vienna Convention protections for diplomatic staff. Iran's Foreign Ministry summoned all available ambassadors for an emergency consultation and called on the UN Security Council to convene urgently. Senior Hezbollah liaison Ayyoub Hussein Yaqoub and missile unit figure Yasser Mohammad Mubarak were also eliminated in related operations.
