Human Rights Watch Reports Israel Used White Phosphorus in Southern Lebanon

Human Rights Watch reported that Israel unlawfully used white phosphorus munitions in southern Lebanese residential areas, causing severe burn injuries to civilians. The use of white phosphorus in civilian-populated zones is widely regarded as a violation of international humanitarian law. Over 400 people have been killed and 500,000 displaced in Lebanon since the start of the conflict.
