Houthis Release 11 Crew Members from Sunken Cargo Ship

| Iran Conflict

Yemen's Houthi rebels release 11 crew members of the Greek-owned Eternity C cargo vessel, which was attacked and sunk in July 2025 near Al-Hodeidah. The release, brokered through Omani mediation, sees the crew flown from Sana'a to Muscat. Nine of the freed sailors are Filipino nationals. The move is seen as a goodwill gesture during the Houthis' pause in Red Sea attacks following the October Gaza ceasefire, though the group warns operations will resume if Israel breaks the truce.
