India's NIA Attaches Property in Budgam in Pakistan-Linked Terror Financing Case

| India-Pakistan

India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) on April 25, 2026 attached a parcel of land in Sheikh-ul-Alam Colony, Nowgam, Srinagar, belonging to Tafazul Hussain Parimoo — who is in NIA custody in a terrorism financing case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Arms Act, and the Explosive Substances Act. The attachment forms part of the NIA's broader counter-terrorism financing operations in Jammu and Kashmir, targeting networks with alleged links to Pakistan-based militant groups including Lashkar-e-Taiba's Resistance Front (TRF), the group that claimed the April 22, 2025 Pahalgam massacre. The NIA has accelerated property attachments across Kashmir since Operation Sindoor as part of a systematic campaign to dismantle financial infrastructure supporting Pakistan-directed militancy. The post-Pahalgam counter-terror enforcement campaign has resulted in 46+ militants killed, hundreds of detentions, and dozens of property attachments since April 2025.
