India-Pakistan Agree to Reinstate 2003 LOC Ceasefire

India and Pakistan announced through a joint statement by their Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) on February 25, 2021 that they had agreed to strictly observe the 2003 ceasefire agreement along the LOC and all other sectors. The agreement, brokered partly through UAE back-channel mediation, dramatically reduced LOC violations which had numbered over 5,000 in 2020.
