Milo Yiannopoulos Deported to United Kingdom After ICE Detention
ICE deported British far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos to the United Kingdom on August 28, 2026, one day after agents arrested him at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport for overstaying his visa. He had been held at ICE's Alexandria, Louisiana removal hub before being placed on a deportation flight. DHS confirmed the removal in a statement, reiterating that Yiannopoulos 'chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation's laws' after entering the U.S. legally in May 2019 and later failing to appear for an immigration hearing that resulted in a July 22, 2026 removal order. DHS used the case to encourage other undocumented immigrants to self-deport, warning 'if not, you will be arrested and deported without a chance to return.'
