Two Weeks After South Burlington ICE Raid: All Detainees Released, Target Still At Large
Two weeks after the March 11 ICE raid on a South Burlington, Vermont home, all three detained immigrants had been released from federal custody. None of the three — Johana and Camila Patin Patin, Ecuadorian nationals, and Christian Jerez Andrade, a Honduran man who had lived in the US for 10 years — were named in the criminal warrant that authorized ICE to enter the home. Deyvi Daniel Corona-Sanchez, the original target, remained at large. The case continued drawing national attention as an example of ICE procedural failures, mistaken identity in surveillance, and the use of administrative warrants not signed by a judge to justify forced home entry.
