Animal-Rights Rally for Elizbarashvili Opens Day 648 of Tbilisi Protests

| Georgia Crisis

Animal-rights activists rallied in front of Georgia's Parliament demanding Tamaz Elizbarashvili's release and an end to state culls of stray dogs, immediately ahead of the 648th consecutive day of pro-EU demonstrations on Rustaveli Avenue. Roughly 200 protesters carried Georgian, Ukrainian, US and EU flags and renewed calls for the release of political prisoners and a return to the Euro-Atlantic path.
