Amaglobeli Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

Batumi City Court judge Nino Sakhelashvili sentenced Mzia Amaglobeli to two years in prison for resisting or using violence against a police officer, after the initial, more serious assault charge was reduced. CPJ and press-freedom groups worldwide called the verdict 'outrageous' and politically motivated.
