ICJ Orders Israel to Halt Rafah Military Offensive

The International Court of Justice orders Israel to immediately halt its military offensive in Rafah that 'may inflict on the Palestinian group in Gaza conditions of life that could bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.' Israel states it will continue its military operations in compliance with international law. It is the first time the ICJ has ordered a state to halt an ongoing military operation.
