Council Extends Ukraine Territorial Integrity Sanctions Listings for Three Years, Ending Six-Month Renewal Cycle

The Council of the EU prolonged its individual sanctions listings targeting those responsible for undermining or threatening Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence for 36 months, until 22 September 2029 — a break from the previous practice of renewing the listings every six months. The measures cover more than 3,000 individuals and entities and include travel bans, asset freezes and a prohibition on making funds available to those listed. As part of the periodic review, the Council declined to renew the listings of three individuals and one entity and removed three deceased persons from the list.
