Starlink Goes Live in Equatorial Guinea, Its 30th Active African Market
Elon Musk and the official Starlink account confirmed on X on August 29, 2026 that satellite internet service is now available in Equatorial Guinea, with an order page live at starlink.com — making it Starlink's 30th active African market. The commercial rollout follows provisional authorization granted by Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue on July 29, 2026, with oversight resting with state-owned GITGE (Telecomunicaciones de Guinea Ecuatorial) pending longer-term regulatory conditions. The launch is part of Starlink's stated plan to reach 16 additional African markets by end-2026.
