Rand Paul Announces Contempt Vote Against Fauci After Fifth Amendment Refusals
A day after Dr. Anthony Fauci repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment at his Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing, Chairman Rand Paul announced the committee would hold a vote the following week on finding Fauci in civil contempt of Congress, warning of 'consequences for refusing to answer' more than 100 questions. Paul argues the SARS-CoV-2 virus most likely originated in a Wuhan lab and that Fauci concealed related intelligence during his tenure leading the federal COVID-19 response.
