WHO Ends COVID-19 Public Health Emergency of International Concern

WHO Director-General Tedros declares the end of COVID-19 as a PHEIC, 1,191 days after the emergency was first declared on January 30, 2020. At this point, 755 million cases and 6.8 million deaths have been reported. Tedros states: 'For more than three years, we have lived alongside this virus. It has changed our world.' COVID-19 transitions to management as an endemic disease.
