WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declares the sixth-ever PHEIC. At the time, 7,818 confirmed cases and 170 deaths have been recorded globally, with 82 cases in 18 countries outside China. WHO does not recommend travel or trade restrictions.
