De la Espriella Signs 24 Decrees Purging Petro Appointees From 15 State Entities
President de la Espriella signed 24 decrees formalizing new appointments across 15 state entities — the biggest single-day personnel sweep of his nineteen-day-old administration — cementing the removal of officials inherited from predecessor Gustavo Petro. New appointees include Martha Luz Reyes Ferro at the financial-crimes unit UIAF, Julia Eva Pretelt Vargas at the Superintendency of Companies, María Andrea Godoy Casadiego at the National Health Superintendency, Pablo Andrés Rivas Herazo at the Financial Superintendency, José Luis Castañeda Tiria at Migración Colombia, and María Consuelo Araújo Castro as ambassador to the United States. Wilmar de Jesús Mejía was removed as UIAF director and Javier Pava was ousted from the Adaptation Fund amid the earlier rescue-brigade screening scandal.
