Criteria Poll Puts Kast Approval at New Low of 29%, Disapproval at 59%

A new Criteria Research survey published September 20 showed President José Antonio Kast's approval falling to 29% (from 30% in the prior Criteria reading published September 6), with disapproval climbing to 59% — his worst Criteria result since taking office March 11. Government approval overall also slid, to 24%. The poll landed a day after Kast's first Gran Parada Militar and continued a two-week run of record-low approval readings across pollsters as unemployment, government turnover and the Foro Madrid protest backlash weighed on his standing.
