Cadem Poll: Kast's Approval Falls to 34%, Lowest Since Taking Office; 61% Disapprove
Cadem's Plaza Pública poll, fielded September 2 among 1,002 respondents across all 16 regions and published September 3, found President Kast's approval down 4 points to 34% — his lowest level since March 2026 — with disapproval at 61%, also a term high. 63% of respondents said Chile is heading in the wrong direction (up 5 points), and 79% rated the economic situation bad or very bad after the Central Bank's July IMACEC contraction of 1.5%, its worst reading in three years. On household finances, only 10% said their family budget was sufficient with savings, 52% said it barely stretched to month's end, and 36% said it was not enough.
