Kast's 'New State Architecture' Commission Draws Cross-Party Fire Over Exclusion of Communist Party and Frente Amplio

The 12-member Comisión Nueva Arquitectura del Estado — unveiled August 25 to spend 120 days proposing a leaner ministerial structure (Chile grew from 18 to 25 ministries in recent decades) — drew mounting criticism August 26 for excluding the Communist Party (PC) and Frente Amplio (FA), Boric's governing coalition parties, despite including figures from RN, UDI, Republicanos, Christian Democracy, PPD and the Socialist Party.
