22 EU Leaders Demand Emergency Meeting

Heads of government from 22 EU member states — coordinated by Italy and Denmark and including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden — send a joint letter to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen calling for an 'extraordinary videoconference of the Ministers of the Interior' and describing Spain's regularisation scheme as a 'pull factor.' Spain, France, Portugal, Ireland and Luxembourg do not sign.
