BTS Day 1 in Chicago: Fans Line Up at Dawn for Soldier Field Merch as 'BTS Day' Begins

August 27, 2026 — The first of BTS's two sold-out Soldier Field shows takes place tonight under Illinois Governor JB Pritzker's 'BTS Day' proclamation (Aug 27-28). Early arrivals lined up at Soldier Field by 7 a.m. for exterior merchandise sales (10 a.m.-6 p.m.); parking lots open at 4 p.m. and gates at 6 p.m. ahead of the 8 p.m. show. Soldier Field enforced a strict clear-bag policy (clear plastic bags up to 12x6x12 inches, gallon-sized freezer bags, or small non-clear bags under 4.5x6.5 inches; non-clear backpacks barred), and directed fans to the CTA #146 and #130 buses, the CTA 'L' Roosevelt station, and the 18th Street Metra station. The show marks BTS's first Chicago concerts in more than seven years, following their 2019 Soldier Field stand on the Speak Yourself tour.
