BTS ARIRANG World Tour: Night 1 at Stanford Stadium — Second Act in Venue History, 53,000 Fans

| BTS

BTS performs Night 1 of their three-night ARIRANG World Tour residency at Stanford Stadium, Stanford, California on May 16, 2026 — gates open 4:30 PM, show begins 7:00 PM PT. With approximately 53,000 fans in attendance, BTS becomes only the second musical act to ever perform at the 50,000-capacity venue, following Coldplay (May 2025). The performance marks BTS's first Bay Area appearance in approximately eight years and the first of three sold-out California nights (May 16, 17, and 19). The ARIRANG World Tour features a 360-degree in-the-round stage design that places the audience at the center of the performance, with cross-shaped extended walkways providing clear sightlines from all sections. Stanford is the only Northern California stop on the ARIRANG World Tour, with the three-night residency expected to draw approximately 150,000 combined fans — the largest K-pop concert series in Northern California history. The Bay Area shows come days after the May 14 announcement confirming BTS, Madonna, and Shakira as co-headliners for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final halftime show (July 19, MetLife Stadium).
